Subscription & Refund Policy

This describes what RangeVault Free and Pro actually include today, how billing works, and how refunds are handled.
3.1Plans
This is the real, currently-enforced gate — checked directly against the database rules, not a feature wishlist:

Note
This list is deliberately narrower than RangeVault’s original product spec (which also described custom reports, an expanded yearly recap, and premium profile customization). Those aren’t gated in the code today, so they’re left out here — publishing a feature that isn’t yet enforced is a real false-advertising risk. This table will be updated if/when those ship.3.2Billing & payment processor
Purchases are processed by Paddle.com (“Paddle”), our payment processor and merchant of record. The seller of record registered with Paddle for this product is Preston Smith, operating as RangeVault Companion (product website rangevault.app). Your purchase is transacted with Paddle, not directly with RangeVault — Paddle handles payment collection, applicable sales tax or VAT, and your card details. RangeVault never receives or stores your full card number.
Note — name on your receipt
Paddle’s own records list the seller as “RangeVault Companion” rather than the shorter “RangeVault” used elsewhere on this page — that’s this project’s registered name, not a different product. Expected, not an error, but it’s what will actually appear on your card statement or Paddle receipt.3.3Renewal & cancellation
RangeVault Pro renews automatically each billing period until you cancel. Cancel any time from Settings → Membership; your Pro access continues until the end of the period you already paid for, then the account reverts to Free (existing records are kept, but new entries are subject to Free-plan limits going forward).
3.4Refunds
RangeVault does not offer a separate refund window of its own. As merchant of record, Paddle handles refund requests under its own standard buyer terms, linked from your purchase receipt. You can also reach us directly at support@rangevault.app and we’ll help.
3.5Price changes
If we change RangeVault Pro’s price, we’ll notify existing subscribers before the new price applies to their next renewal.
