Terms of Service

Effective September 4, 2026

These terms govern your use of RangeVault, operated by Preston Smith, d/b/a RangeVault. By creating an account, you agree to them.

2.1What RangeVault is — and isn't

RangeVault is a personal organizational and tracking application for firearm owners, collectors, and sport shooters: a private logbook for your collection, range sessions, maintenance, and expenses.

RangeVault is not, and does not provide:

  • A marketplace, dealer, or broker for firearms or ammunition
  • A facilitation service for firearm transfers, background checks, or FFL transactions
  • Legal, regulatory, or compliance advice of any kind
  • Gunsmithing, repair, or safety inspection services
  • Professional appraisal of firearm or collection value — figures you enter are your own estimates

You are solely responsible for lawfully owning, storing, transporting, and (if applicable) transferring any firearm you choose to log in RangeVault, under the laws that apply to you.

2.2Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You’re responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure.

Enforced, not just stated

18+ and Terms confirmation is required and durably recorded at signup — for every account-creation method, including “Continue with Google,” which has its own one-time confirmation step. Verified directly in production, not assumed.

2.3Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use RangeVault to list, advertise, or arrange the sale or transfer of a firearm or ammunition
  • Attempt to access another user's account or private records
  • Upload unlawful content, or content you don't have the right to upload
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service, or circumvent its rate limits or security controls

2.4Your content

You own what you upload. You grant RangeVault a limited license to store, process, and display it back to you solely to operate the service. You confirm you have the rights to anything you upload, including photos and documents.

2.5Subscriptions

RangeVault offers a Free plan and a paid RangeVault Pro plan. Billing, renewal, and refunds are governed by our Subscription & Refund Policy.

2.6Termination

You can stop using RangeVault and request account deletion at any time by contacting support@rangevault.app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

2.7Disclaimers

RangeVault is provided “as is.” Range and location information comes from third-party sources (including Google) and may be inaccurate or outdated. Collection values you enter are self-reported estimates, not appraisals. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

2.8Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RangeVault is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

2.9Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
